The site runs in your browser using locally hosted HTML, CSS, JavaScript, fonts, and images. It has no ordering backend, customer database, or payment processor. This policy describes this delivered demo, not any future commercial website that may reuse its design.
02. What stays on your device
The site uses browser local storage, a technology similar to cookies, to remember small pieces of information between visits. It does not set tracking cookies. Local storage is specific to the website’s browser origin and is not sent to us with ordinary page requests.

The site does not ask for your name, email address, postal address, payment information, or precise location. The flavor finder uses only the three answers you select to calculate a product suggestion in your browser. Those individual answers are not saved or sent to a server; only the resulting product ID may be saved with your permission.
If your browser blocks local storage, the site tries to keep the sample box and choices in memory for the current page visit only. They may be lost when you reload or leave the page.
03. Cookies & your choices
When you first visit, a non-blocking banner explains the essential storage and asks about optional flavor memory. You can allow flavor memory, choose essential storage only, or customize your choices. Both accept and decline choices are equally available.
- Essential storage: supports the sample box you ask the site to create and records your privacy choice. It is not used for advertising.
- Optional flavor memory: remembers your latest match so you can return to it. It is off unless you opt in.
- Advertising and analytics: none are used in this demo. No Google Ads tag, Meta pixel, analytics service, or social-media tracker is loaded.
Use in the footer or this page to change your choice. Turning off flavor memory immediately removes the saved match. Closing the settings dialog without saving does not change your previous choice. You can also remove local storage through your browser settings.
This demo does not rely on a browser’s Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal because it performs no cross-site tracking. Optional memory remains off until you make an affirmative choice.
04. Sharing & external services
Your box, flavor match, and privacy choices are not submitted to a server, sold, shared with advertisers, or used to build a marketing profile. The jQuery library, fonts, and images are included in the site files; loading them does not contact a third-party CDN.
A hosting provider may ordinarily process technical connection information, such as an IP address, requested URL, browser details, and timestamps, for delivery and security. This demo does not control a hosting provider’s logging or retention practices. If the site is deployed publicly, the operator should identify the actual host and link to its applicable privacy information.
The displayed email address is a fictional example. If you choose to open an email link, your email application and provider handle that action under their own policies. Do not send sensitive information to the sample address. Downloaded tasting notes and sample-box lists are generated locally in your browser; downloading does not subscribe you to anything.
05. Manage your information
You remain in control of the information saved by this demo:
- Open Your box to change quantities, remove an item, or clear the box.
- Use Cookie settings to withdraw optional flavor memory.
- Use Clear saved site data below to remove this site’s box, match, and privacy choices. Other websites’ data is not touched.
- Use your browser’s site-data settings to block or delete local storage. Blocking essential storage may prevent preferences from persisting.
Files you have already downloaded remain on your device until you delete them. Clearing this site’s data does not remove those files.
06. Security & children
The site is designed to collect as little information as possible and to keep its interactive data on your device. No method of browser storage or internet transmission is completely risk-free. Please do not enter sensitive personal or financial information into this demonstration.
This is a general-audience website about confectionery, not a service directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children, create accounts, or offer purchases. The sample flavor finder is a product-matching activity, not a personalized advertising tool.
07. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of personal information, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. The browser controls described above let you directly inspect and remove the local data used by this demo. With no account or submitted personal database, there is no customer profile for this site to retrieve.
For information processed by an actual hosting provider or email service, contact that provider or the operator of the deployed website. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. This demonstration does not claim that one legal framework applies to every visitor.
08. Policy updates
The effective date at the top shows when this policy was last updated. Any real service that adds purchases, analytics, advertising, contact forms, or other data processing should update this policy and obtain any required permissions before enabling those features.
